Central Carolina Festival opens Thursday

The Central Carolina Festival will feature an action-packed midway of thrill rides, games of skill and delicious carnival food, courtesy of Michael’s Amusements. Festival-goers can also check out free daily performances by Roaring Metal Rage, an exhilarating ride BMX stunt show.

Concord Restaurant Owner Pleads Guilty in State Tax Case

Concord, NC, businessman Charles Joseph Pippa, 66, pled guilty today, March 27, 2023, in Wake County Superior Court to felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Pippa, of Hilton Head Island, SC, pled guilty to three counts of Aid and Abet Embezzlement of State Property.

Library Hosts Autism Awareness Celebration April 1

The theme of this free celebration for families is vehicles. Children can “Touch a Truck” in the library’s parking lot with City vehicles, including the EcoBus, a recycling truck, a fire truck, and a police car. There will also be sensory-friendly crafts and activities, including a toy “car wash” in the library’s fenced garden.
