Thomas Alva Stott, 20, left this earthly life on Monday, August 22, 2022 due to a tragic workplace accident.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Horsepasture Christian Church, 1146 Horsepasture Price Road, Ridgeway, Virginia. Interment will follow in the Stoneville Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church and all other times at the residence. In memory of Thomas’ love for the New England Patriots, New York Yankees, and Miami Heat, the family encourages all to wear their favorite teams’ jersey to the service.
Thomas was born on December 30, 2001 to Robert Edwin Stott and Diane Alva Holland Stott. He was a 2020 graduate of Dalton L. McMichael High School and loved to ride his Can-Am and pulled for the New England Patriots. Thomas was a devoted Christian and was baptized by his own Papa, Alva Holland at Horsepature Christian Church. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his friends, exemplified a model work ethic, and also loved to take his slick black mustang for a spin.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Peggy Stott (Mema) and maternal grandparents, Alva Spencer Holland (Papa) and Janet Motley Holland (Nanny).
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Spencer Edwin Stott; paternal grandfather, Thomas Edwin Stott (Margaret); aunts, Amy Winslow (Jack), Dana Gearhart (Richard) and Dawn Seltzer; special friend, Savannah Lockhart and many special cousins and friends.
