Obituary: JOSEPHINE WALL

Josephine W. Wall, 91, left this earthly life Monday, August 22, 2022, at North Pointe of Mayodan.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Delta United Methodist Church with Pastor Ray Morgan, Reverend Evelyn Lemons, and Reverend Boyd Joyce officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Josephine was born on December 4, 1930, in Stokes County, to the late James Andrew Wall and Louvie Joyce Wall… She was the second oldest member of Delta United Methodist Church where she served faithfully since 1942. She was a graduate of Sandy Ridge High School and was Valedictorian of her class. Josephine worked for Washington Mills, Inc. then operated Wall’s Store until she retired in 1995.
In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by husband, Benjamin Wilson Wall; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Wall Smith and husband Colin, of Chesterfield, VA; son, Dr. Marc Vaughn and wife Annette, of Lawsonville, NC; three grandsons, Tyler Smith and Carter Smith, Camden Vaughn and wife Lauren, and a granddaughter, Cristen Vaughn McHenry and husband Alex. Josephine has one great grandson, Peter Vaughn McHenry.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delta United Methodist Church, c/o Randy Bullins, 3873 NC 704, Hwy E, Lawsonville, NC 27022. Also, since food is not needed, funds may be made to the Delta Methodist Women, c/o Randy Bullins.
