Teresa Shelton Mabe, 64, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Teresa was born on December 14, 1958 in Rockingham County to the late Luther Shelton and Minnie Vernon Shelton. She was a talented poet and enjoyed family geneology and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Shelton, James Shelton, Victor Shelton and Arthur Samuel Shelton and sisters, Hessie Mae Amos, Becky Ann Bullins; Mary and Magalene Shelton and Nancy Lee Turner.
Survivors include her two sons, Justin Mabe (Brianca) and Joseph Mabe; granddaughter, Mila; brothers, J.R. Shelton (Lois) of Patrick Springs, Virginia, Nute Shelton (Connie) of Statesville, Roy Shelton (Janet) of Mayodan, Ricky Shelton (Becky) and Barry Shelton (Donna), all of Sandy Ridge; sisters, Faye Nelson (Wayne) and Kathy Shelton Woods (Johnny) all of Sandy Ridge and many special nieces and nephews.
Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
