Robert “Bob Bob” Lee Stephens, 64, passed away Friday afternoon, November 24, 2023, at his lake home.
There will be no formal service at this time however, the family plans to have a celebration of his life at a later date.
Bobby was born January 3, 1959 in Chapel Hill, NC. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Stephens; three sons, Chase Stephens, Josh Reece and Nick Reece (Hannah); his mother, Geneva Summey; grandchildren, Trent and Levie Reece, Hank and Lexie Gray Reece and Sutton Stephens; brothers, Billy Stephens (Dianne) and Brad Stephens (Teresa); his best friend in the world, Rocky Kellam; all his “brothers” and “sisters” in the 300 Cove at Belews Lake and our Point family; his two dogs, Apollo and Anna; his three cats, Dottie, The Boy and Bubble Gum; a host of nieces and nephews; along with his work family at Stewarts and his good buddy, Dean Murray.
Preceding him in death were his father, J. W. Stephens and his father-in-law, William Spillman.
The family would like to offer a big thank you to Al Childress, Rockingham County EMS and Rockingham County Sherriff’s Department for their care and assistance.
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
