Obituary: ROBERT “BOB” WALL, JR

Robert Lindsay “Bob” Wall Jr. 76, of Madison, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery in Madison.

Bob was born January 6, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Robert “Lindsay” Wall Sr, and Mrs.“Gwendolyn” Lou Phillips Wall. He attended Oak Ridge Military Academy, graduated from Madison-Mayodan High School, and attended Mars Hill College.

After attending Mars Hill College, Bob worked at Madison Lumber Company, a family-owned business, where he was part owner. He later worked for McMichael Mills for many years.

Bob had many interests including Dodge trucks and anything Mopar. For years, he enjoyed tractor pulling across North Carolina. He loved beach music, dancing and flying. He earned his private pilot’s license and was co-owner and mechanic of three different planes. Bob enjoyed local politics and served as a Madison Town Alderman for eight years.

He always said, “Call a spade a spade and enjoy life to the fullest, you’re never promised tomorrow!”

Bob is survived by his son, Robert Lindsay “Robbie” Wall, III and his wife, Michelle Amos of Madison, NC, daughter, Anissa “Paige” Wall; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
