Obera Boulding Harris, 88, of Eden passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Gibson House Hospice Home.
A service of remembrance will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm before the service at the funeral home. Obera was born in Eden on September 9, 1935, a daughter of Otis Andrew Boulding Sr. and Elaine Southern Boulding, both deceased. She retired from Rockingham County Head Start as a teacher assistant.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold Harris; her son, Danny Harris, and her brother, Otis Andrew Boulding, Jr.
Obera is survived by her daughter-in-law, Pam Harris; her sisters, Judy Walker, Connie Young and Linda Hall; and her grandchildren, Julie Combs and Jason Harris.
