Lanny Ford Newman, 73, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home.
Lanny was born in Rockingham County on July 15, 1950, to the late Henry Ford and Marie Carter Newman. He was attentive, forward thinking, and a dedicated person, always doing something he set his mind to. He always lived life on his terms. Lanny also enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Carter Newman; and his brother, Gary Newman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Adrian Newman of Madison and Adam Newman (Brandi McCoy) of Danville; his brothers, Glenn Newman and Ernie Newman (Dale); his sisters, Veronda Pruitt (Wayne) and Dawn Tilley; three grandchildren, Henry Eli Newman, Lilly Ford Newman, and Tuesday Marie Newman; and his good friend, Byron Atkins.
