Obituary: JOYCE ANN BOURNE PAYNE

Joyce Ann Bourne Payne, 78, of Reidsville, NC, passed Friday, May 20, 2022 at Hospice of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1891 Bethlehem Church Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320. A visitation will be held at the church for 1 hour prior to the service, 12-1pm.
Joyce was born February 26, 1944, in Tazewell, VA, to the late George Bourne and Pansy Smith Bourne. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Joyce worked as Office Manager in the Tax Listing Department at the county courthouse, having done so in both in Tazewell, VA, and Wentworth, NC. She enjoyed flower gardening and working in her yard. She was very active in her church. Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ted Payne of the home; daughters, Rebecca Payne Boyles (David) of McLeansville, NC, Kristi Payne Draughn (Chris) of Eden, NC; grandchildren, Zachary Christopher Boyles, Hannah Elizabeth Boyles, Kendall Rae Draughn, Kylie Raye Draughn, Brandon Trent Draughn; brother Bill Bourne (Jenny) of Tazewell, VA; sisters, Dorothy Billings and Grace Adkins, both of Bluefield, WVa.
