Obituary: AVERY JACOB BROWN

By | Published | No Comments

Avery Jacob Brown, a SMA Type 1 warrior, lost her battle on May 20, 2022 at only 5 years of age.

Visitation will be held to celebrate Avery at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC on Tuesday, May 24th, from 5 to 7 PM.

Extremely saddened but proud of their little “hashbrown” who beat all odds is her parents, Keisha Miller and Barrett Brown. Though her time with her family and friends were cut short, she touched many lives with her bright loving personality, those piercing blue eyes, and her infectious positivity, bravery and determination. We could not be more proud of her tremendous accomplishments, overcoming so much and even defying her own doctors. Our precious Avery came to teach us all lessons of love, hope and faith because that’s just how she rolled.

She was quite the little diva and demanded to dress up choosing her hair-bows, jewelry and nail polish to match her outfit every day. She was passionate about flowers and butterflies, being outside and watching her favorite movies.

She was quite the smarty and she really enjoyed attending Leakesville Elementary School and was due to graduate Pre-K on May 27th with all her dearest school friends who she looked forward to seeing each school day.

Avery was loved and protected by her brothers, Ryan Bondurant, Mason Setliff, Grayson Mansfield and Barrett Brown Jr. and was loved, adored and influenced by her big sisters, Bailey Setliff, Kadence Hoover, Alana Brown, and Brianna Brown. She was cherished by her maternal grandparents, Mary “JamMa” Board, Jeffrey “S. PawPaw” Miller and maternal grandparents, Babette Hawkins (now deceased) and Buford Lee Hawkins (deceased), her loving aunt, Leslie Clark and her cool uncles, Landon Griffin, Brodie Hawkins, and Brett Hawkins (deceased) along with her cousins, Blaney and Addie.

Avery would not be who she was without her loving and caring nurses who became her extended family, so special thanks goes to Debra Tarawallie, Charlene Hairston, Carol Presnell Overton, and Missy Bailey for being there.

Online condolences may be made to www.fairfuneralhome.com.
