Jeanette Parrish Loftis, 73, left this earthly life on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Maple Lawn Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Summerfield Baptist Temple Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Monday at the church.
Mrs. Loftis was born on November 5, 1950 in Guilford County to the late Marvin Cleo Parrish and Gertie Barham Parrish. Jeanette was a talented hair stylist and will be remembered for her crafting skills, as well as her love of the ocean, mountains, fishing, birds and flowers. She would make the most incredible wreaths, with an amazing artistic eye. Her smile was so warm that it would radiate all the way up to her big, beautiful, wide set blue eyes. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. If Jeanette loved you, it was a fierce love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jean Loftis, Irene Edwards, Jacqueline Bullard and Louise Powers.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Dwight Loftis; son, Richard Loftis (Christina); granddaughters, Hailey Loftis Loy (Baker), Delaney Loftis and Caitlin Loftis; siblings, Bob Parrish, Marvin Parrish, Karen Bullard and Kathleen Williams and many special nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
