Obituary: DAWN “DESI” WATKINS BOWMAN

Dawn “Desi” Watkins Bowman, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 16, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Mayodan Moravian Church with burial to follow in the Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Dawn was born on November 26, 1959 to the late Tommy and Artie Watkins. She enjoyed traveling, candles, and scrapbooking. One of Dawns favorite things to do was spend time with her family rather that meant cooking for them or just stopping by to see her. She will be greatly remembered for her cooking and baking skills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Bowman; son, Keith Carter and daughter, Rebecca Pearman.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Boyd; grandchildren, Haley Pearman, Hannah Watts, Zander Watts, Ashlen Longberry; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Wilkerson, Gaberial Longberry, Desmond Longberry, Levi Longberry; step-grandchildren, Gabrielle Case, Nathan Boyd; brothers, Allen Watkins, Gary Watkins, Anthony Watkins.
