On April 6, 2023, Santos Cruz-Salmeron, 37, pled guilty in Rockingham County Superior Court to one count of Second-Degree Murder and one count of Driving While Impaired

On Tuesday, March 13, 2023, officers of the Reidsville Police Department conducted a drug investigation at the Royal Inn on Freeway Drive. Upon completion of the search, officers recovered 4.26 ounces of Cocaine, Marijuana, (2) Firearms, Schedule II, Schedule III and Schedule IV pills, Drug Paraphernalia, and more than $16,700 dollars in US Currency.
On March 9, 2023, Martin Calvin Cox, Jr., 43, pled guilty in Rockingham County Superior Court to two counts of First-Degree Murder and one count of Attempted First-Degree Murder. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Stan Allen sentenced Cox to Life in Prison without the possibility of Parole.
