Woker Suffers Fatal Injury Resulting From Fall From School Roof

(Eden, NC) – On Wednesday April 26, 2023 at 08:47 am, officers with the Eden Police Department were dispatched to Morehead Highschool at 134 N Pierce Street regarding an industrial accident . Upon arrival, Officers and emergency medical staff located a 45-year-old male unconscious behind the auditorium. The victim was treated on scene by Rockingham County EMS and then transported to UNC-Rockingham. Manuel Montellano (45) of Winston Salem was pronounced deceased upon arrival to UNC-R. During the investigation, Investigators determined that the male fell approximately 25 feet. At this time foul play is not suspected.
