Images and Information provided by ANN FISH: Twenty-six children of Rockingham Pregnancy Center clients in Eden had an early visit from the Easter Bunny this year when seven-year-old Haven Sparks, right, and her friend Ellie Weiss filled baskets full of goodies ranging from candies to stuffed toys and other items. The girls were assisted by Haven’s grandparents Donna and Danny Harris. A member of the Eden Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Haven came up with the idea to give needy children Easter baskets three years ago. She begins accumulating items early in the year and often elicits help from other primary children. This year the Summit Church in Oak Ridge made a large contribution of baskets to Haven. Her father, Jason Sparks, poses with Center Client Services Director Liz Luking with some of the baskets after he delivered them earlier Easter week.  Center Director Sharon Wingate  said the baskets serve as a source of encouragement to the center’s clients and a reminder that they are loved.
