(Wentworth, NC) – Please join Sheriff Sam Page and his team at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office in congratulating Lieutenant Tony Walker on his retirement!
Tony Walker was hired to a full-time position as a Deputy Sheriff at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office in 1997. During his tenure at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, he served as an Animal Control Officer, Court Bailiff, telecommunicator, Detention Officer, Wentworth township patrol Deputy, patrol division Deputy and patrol supervisor. Walker also served as a member of the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Underwater Search, Rescue and Recovery Dive Team and Special Response Team (SRT).
Though retiring with 30 years of credible service, Walker will continue to serve the citizen of Rockingham County as a Reserve Deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. Congratulations Lieutenant Tony Walker!
