Reidsville Celebrates Amy Laster – Main Street Champion 2022

Congratulations to Amy Laster, Owner of the Reidsville Trading Post, who has been designated as the 2022 North Carolina Main Street Champion for Reidsville, NC. Each designated NC Main Street community is given the opportunity to select an individual, couple, civic organization, business partnership, or government entity that made a significant contribution to the success of their downtown in 2022. Designation as an NC Main Street Champion is a high honor, recognizing the efforts of individuals who have been instrumental in downtown revitalization in appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication.  

Each year the Reidsville Downtown Corporation elects someone from the community for this award.  It is then taken to City Council for approval.  The 2022 Champions were individually recognized and presented with a certificate commemorating this honor at a special ceremony at the Statesville Civic Center, during the NC Main Street Conference on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

We are so proud of Amy and her hard work with opening a new business during COVID, being instrumental in revitalizing the Main Street Merchants Organization and forming partnerships and creating new Merchant events to bring visitors to Downtown Reidsville. Amy is also a current Board Member with the Reidsville Downtown Corporation.
