Ms. Willie Mae “Judy” Williamson Graves departed this life on Saturday morning, March 18, 2023.

Raised by the late Ossie Howard Williamson, she started her life’s journey on September 8, 1948 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Willie Mae was a 1967 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and was employed by VF Corporation for 20 years. Affectionately known as “Judy”, she owned and operated a daycare center called, “Judy’s Little Angels” in Reidsville, North Carolina. All of the children that attended her daycare center and their parents loved her dearly. Willie Mae was a very faithful member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Trustee Ministry as the Financial Secretary until her death. She was also a member of the Usher Board Ministry. She was married in Holy Matrimony for 46 years to the late Willie Morris Graves. To this union was born three sons.

In addition to her parents and husband, sisters, Betty Jo Williamson, Cecelia Williamson and Peggy Williamson, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory: loving sons, Willie L. Graves, High Point, Larry N. Graves, Alexandria, Va. and Reginald N. Graves, South Carolina; brothers, Jimmy Williamson and James Williamson; sisters, Linda Mitchell and Ann Neal; granddaughter, Courtney McClelland; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Noon Saturday, March 25, 2023 from the Locust Grove Baptist Church, 4707 NC Highway 15 East with Pastor James E. Lea presiding. The family visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 until 12:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Friday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street, Reidsville.
