Ms. Willie Mae Ferrell departed this life on Tuesday afternoon, December 5, 2023.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School, Class of 1977. She was a former employee of Mary View Hospital. During her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, preparing meals for others and spending time with family. We thank God for the good years we had with her to cherish and hold close to our hearts.

Her parents, Mary Emma Lynn Scales and Galloway Scales; siblings, Bernice Lindsey, Carolyn Cummings, Willie Lee Scales, James Scales and Percy Scales, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: loving daughters, Tracy Fountain (Earl) and LaTosha Ferrell; grandchildren, Ashia Ray Williamson (James), DeAsia Morehead, Elijah Fountain, Josiah Fountain, Jeremiah Bridges and Shyonna Bridges; great-grandchildren, Markese Pass and Jamari Bullard; siblings, Mary Scales, Ella Ferrell, John Ferrell, Ernest Robinson (Audrey) and James Ferrell; brother-in-law, Delma Lee Cummings; special friends, Lorraine Rogers, Karen “Cookie” Porter, Donnie Cobb and the Cobb Family; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Pastor Spencer Woods presiding. The family visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Public viewing will be Saturday afternoon at Johnson & Sons.
