Willie Leonard “BeBop” Pass departed this life on Friday evening, December 2, 2022.

As a native and resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina for the majority of his life, he attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Booker T. High School, Class of 1968.  He pursued further education at Rockingham Community College.  With courage and tenacity, he served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged from the United States Army.  Spiritually, he was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church where he served with the Board of Deacons and was the President of the Usher Board.  “BeBop”, as he was affectionately referred by family and close friends, was a retiree of the Rockingham County School and was a former employee of the Zarn Corporation. Presently, he was employed by the Reidsville Review/News & Record Newpapers and Chade’ Family Daycare.  In the community, he actively participated with the American Legion Post No. 199, James Rudd and was a former member of the United Gospel Singers.  Known for his gregarious personality, he enjoyed bowling, helping others in need, watching westerns, wrestling, Sanford & Son (his favorite tv show) and supporting his favorite football team, the Washington Commanders.  Truly, “BeBop” has been a blessing to all who knew him and we thank God for his impacting presence in our lives.  To God Be The Glory For Doing All Things Well!

Pass; beloved wife of 53 years, Geraldine Stokes Pass; grandchildren, Emanuel, Jr., Emerica and Emani; siblings, Mary Pass Ogelsby, Barbara Pass Morehead, Constance Pass Scales, Rosie Pass Lee and George T.
