William Ronald “Ron” Case Sr., 79, passed away peacefully from this life into the loving arms of his Savior on March 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral service for Mr. Case will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Summerfield with Dr. Kelly Bullard and Rev. Derrick Moody officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
A Guilford county native, Mr. Case was born on January 8, 1944 to the late Zeb and Ima Strader Case. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Summerfield. William was drafted in 1966 and served his country in Germany during Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968. After returning home from Germany, he served in the Army National Guard for 9 years. He was an electrician by trade and in 2006, he retired from Liberty Property Trust, where he worked in building maintenance. William’s favorite past time was spending time with his family at his cabin in Indian Valley, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Zeb Case Jr., J.C. Case, and Wesley Case; sister, Mary Case Russell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years Margaret J. Case; son, William “ Billy” Ronald Case Jr. and wife Ashley of Archdale; daughter, Kimberly Case Redmon and husband David of Summerfield; 3 grandchildren, Courtney Carter (Cody), Tucker Case (Gabi), Anna Case; great-grandchildren, Lucas Wilson, and Colby Carter; sister, Alma Wilson; sister-in-law, Polly Case.
Ron was a loving son, husband, daddy, pawpaw, great pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed. We are comforted by knowing he is with his Lord and Savior and we will see him again.
