William Jarrell Young, 67 of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Sunday May 29, 2022 at his home.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday June 3, 2022 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will see friends following the service and at other times will be at the residence.
A native of Fayetteville, NC, he was the son of the late Col. William Ellsworth Young and the late Penelope Donovan Young and had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. A self-employed farmer, Jarrell enjoyed helping his neighbors repair their farm machinery or helping with their crops. Jarrell has had several Opel cars throughout his lifetime which he enjoyed showing and racing. A member of St Thomas Episcopal Church, he enjoyed reading and was happiest on a tractor in the field communing with nature. He also collected M274 Military Mules from the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years.: Dianne Chance Young of the home, his sons: Jordan Young (Jessica Smith) of Reidsville, and Dylan Young (Maria) of Tampa, FL, grandchildren: Alayna Grace Young and Sascha Tristen Young.
