William Hardin Hopkins, Sr., 88, of Cascade, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at his residence.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 4pm at Hunt Cemetery, 912 Huntington Trail, Cascade, VA 24069.
William was born in Eden on September 24, 1934 a son of Hardin Leftwich Hopkins and Nancy Branch Hopkins, both deceased. He was a US Army veteran. He retired from Air Products as a truck Driver.
He is survived by his children, William Hopkins, Jr. of Cascade VA., Webb Hopkins of Cascade and VA., Ava Gover of Axton, VA.; his brothers, Fred Hopkins and wife, Mary of Stoneville and Abe Hopkins of Stoneville; his 10 grandchildren and his 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Hopkins; his daughter, Angie Watson; his brother, Frank Hopkins; and his granddaughter, Tonya Tucker.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their kindness to their papa.
The family would also wish to thank several people who took time to care for their papa, Fred Ramsey, Pastor Leonard Luker and his wife, Leona, Cynthia Vernon and Richard Watkins.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
