William Eugene Terry, 84, of Eden passed away on Thursday evening, October 24, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held at later date.
William was born in Guilford County on June 8, 1940, a son of David Ernest Terry and Kathleen Chamberlain Terry, both deceased. William and his wife, Wanda were the previous owners of Church Street Station, Ridgeway Café, Williams Hill Top Station, William’s BP and several other businesses in the area. William loved horse racing, the Washington Redskins and the North Carolina Tarheels basketball team.
William is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda Arlene Smith Terry; his son, Brian Terry of Eden; his daughters, Susan Terry Finney and husband, Dale of Reidsville and Renee Terry of Eden; his brother-in-law, Arnold Smith and Peggy of Stuart, VA; his grandchildren, Summer Nance and Larry, Brittney Starnes and Randy, Braxton William Terry and Kyra, Triston Terry and Alana, Tyler Dixon and Stephanie and Patience Hanshaw and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Tatum, Jayden, Edison, River, Willow, Lundyn, Adahlia and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Oliver and Barbara Robinson; his brothers, Raymond Terry and Junior Terry and his great grandson, Memphis Jack Nance.
