William Edward Crowder, 79, of Reidsville passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025.

A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Tom Wray officiating. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery. After the service, the family will greet friends during a reception in the church fellowship hall.

Eddie was born in Rockingham County to the late Roy Pleasant and Virginia Dean Crowder. He was a devoted husband and father who fiercely loved his family. His family was the joy of his life. He had a passion for finding a good deal at a flea market or pawn shop, cooking a great Brunswick stew for family gatherings, and sharing a good story.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Crowder Brown, and his brother, John Crowder.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dale Troxler Crowder; his son, Jason Crowder, and wife, Dow; and his beloved granddaughter, Lilly, who has been the light of his life for the past 12 years.

Eddie is also survived by his sister, Betty Crowder Powell; his brothers, Harold Crowder, Don Crowder, Bobby Crowder, and Gregory Crowder; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
