Willa Adkins Wilson, 88, passed away Friday afternoon, July 14, 2023, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 21st, at Glencoe United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friend’s one hour prior to the service, 1 – 2 PM at the church.
Willa was born March 7, 1935 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late John Everette Adkins and Linnie Witty Adkins. She was a member of Glencoe United Methodist Church for many years. She had served as treasurer, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Methodist Women.
She is survived by her four children, Paul Wilson, Tim Wilson (Tammey Kolberg), Tracy Wilson (Kelly) and Lisa Wilson James (Mike), all of Summerfield; eight grandchildren, Derek Wilson, Justin Wilson, Carrie Smallwood (Kent), Chelsea Brown (Matt), Hannah Long (Devin), Jeremy James (Kristi), Brooke Tilley (Zach) and Bryce Wilson and 11 great-grandchildren, Reagan Wilson, Savannah & Colton Smallwood, Emma, Mack & Madeline Brown, Brett, Valley & Case Long and Willa & Wiley Tilley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dwight Wilson; son, Thomas Christopher Wilson; along with six siblings.
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
