Wayne Irvin Cox, 80, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Saturday June 24, 2023 at his home.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday June 30, 2023 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with military rites. The family will see friends following the service in the funeral home and will see friends Thursday June 29, 2023 3:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the home of Lynn Wagoner 1002 Autumn Lane Reidsville, NC.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Edgar Reid and Susan Etta Moran Cox and had lived his entire life in Rockingham County. A retired employee of Fieldcrest Mills in Eden, he was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Wayne loved animals, playing the Lottery, and watching TV. He was preceded in death by his wife: Kay Hayden Cox, his brother: Phillip Cox, a son-in-law: Tim Fulcher and a sister-in-law: Barbara Cox.
Survivors include his daughters: Tracey Dodson (Todd) of Eden, NC, Lynn Wagoner (Tommy) and Donna Fulcher both of Reidsville, brother: Larry Cox of Eden, grandchildren: Bryan Dodson, Logan Dodson, Hayden Dodson, Tommy J. Wagoner (Jennifer), Andy Wagoner, Emily Scearce (Matt), Matthew Fulcher (Melissa), and Ben Fulcher, great grandson: Jude Scearce, sister-in-law: Carol Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.
