“Well done, good and faithful servant!”
On December 10, the world became less bright but the angels sang Glory Hallelujah when the Lord welcomed home Wanda Kaye Sheppard Henn.
Kind, generous, loving, gentle, eternal optimist, heart of gold, beautiful smile and faithful to her Lord Jesus, only begin to describe Wanda.
The love of her life was her husband, John. She was always looking forward to their next travel adventure but she also approached each day they shared as an adventure no matter what they were doing.
Wanda loved her family and friends. Anyone that ever met her fell in love with her and her outlook on life. There’s a reason she was fondly referred to as the nice sister.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Wanda is survived by her husband, John; a sister, Connie Stephens (Dan Deese); two nieces, Emmy (Ty) Cooper, Twila Williams (Brian); a nephew, Josh Branscome (Misty); sister-in-law, Kim Sheppard; brother-in-law, Don Neuroth; great niece, Chelsea Woods (Chris); great nephew, Blake Williams (Amelia); and great-great-nephew, Cameron Woods.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Georgia Sheppard; sister, Linda Harris, and brother, Don Sheppard.
If you knew this wonderful lady you never saw her when she wasn’t perfectly classily dressed. Please come dressed to impress in your finest to show her the respect she so richly deserves.
The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Connie Stephens and Dan Deese.
A special thank you to all of those who have kept Wanda and John in their prayers during her illness.
Colonial Funeral Home in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
Condolences may be offered at www.colonialfh.net .
