

Virginia Edith Rickman Roach Jarrell,95, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at UNC Rockingham in Eden, NC.
Virginia was a native of Stuart, VA. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Henrietta Roberson Rickman and she had lived in Reidsville most of her life before moving to Eden in 1999. Virginia was a graduate of Leaksville High School where she was a cheerleader. Virginia was a co-owner of Roach Motor Company, a Cub Scout leader, and spent several years working as a receptionist at UNIFI. She was a member of the Fine Arts Festival Association of Rockingham County and was an accomplished artist who loved painting and creating pottery. She enjoyed participating in art seminars where they traveled to the coast and painted on location. She was an avid reader and had a huge collection of cookbooks. Virginia was a vibrant soul and loved her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Carl Brooks Roach Sr in 1984, and her second husband, Thomas Henry Jarrell, in 2011.
She is survived by her son: Brooks Roach (Sherron) of Reidsville, her three daughters: Jennie R. Penn of Eden, Dawn R. Jones of Reidsville, Tracy R. Cundiff of Reidsville, 3 grandchildren: Carl Brooks Roach III, Carleigh J. Joyce (Robert) and Alexandria C. Fowler (Tanner) and by two great grandchildren: Natalie M. Roach and Ayden R Joyce.
