Viola “Nikki” Nicole Carty, 41, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in Durham, NC.
Nikki was born in Rockingham County on August 8, 1983, to Willie Norman Carty and Susan Collins Neugent. She had a big heart with a colorful personality and her children and grandchildren were her world. Her passion was fashion and style and she also enjoyed cooking and baking. Nikki was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Willie Norman Carty.
She is survived by her mother, Susan Collins Neugent of Missouri; her longtime boyfriend, Orlando Merida; her children, Makalah Hampton of Eden and Noah Harrison of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Israel, Xy’lah, and Jurnei; three brothers, Jesse Carty (Kim) of Stoneville, Shane Carty of Colorado, and Ricky Carty of Durham; her aunt, Kim Dongon; and special cousins, Shannon Collins Brown (Wendell), Heather Brumitte (Anthony), and Kelly Olverson (Jasun).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
