Vickie Burnett Williams, 71, passed away Friday morning, May 12, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 16th, at Highland Burial Park in Danville, VA. The family will receive friend’s Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison and other times at the home of her sister, Louise Tilley, 461 Sunrise Acres Road in Stokesdale.
Vickie was born September 10, 1951 in Danville, VA, to the late Frank Gordon Burnett and Elizabeth “Betsy” Haley Burnett. During her working life she had been employed by Britthaven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Northern Tools. Vickie was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Leticia Dawn Burnett and her sister, Dianne Lineberry.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Williams of the home; five brothers, Donald “Pee Wee” Burnett of Danville, VA, Woodrow Burnett (Gail) of Stokesdale, Leon Burnett (Margaret) of Madison, Steve Burnett of Stokesdale and Lonnie Burnett, also of Stokesdale; two sisters, Lessie Wilson of Stoneville and Louise Tilley (James) of Stokesdale; several nieces and nephews; along with her beloved mother-in-law who loved her like a daughter, Betty Gregory Williams of Liberty.
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
