Tony Irvin Stanley, 87, of Ruffin, went to be with the Lord Sunday January 12, 2025 at the Gibson House Ancora Compassionate Care (formerly Hospice of Rockingham County).

Funeral services will be conducted 2;00 P.M. Friday January 17, 2025 at Camp Springs Community Church with Rev. Lonnie Sorrell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday January16, 2025 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence: 1969 Ashland Rd. Ruffin,NC.

Tony was a son of the late James Early and Mary Somers Stanley and had lived in Caswell County all of his life. He was a member of Camp Springs Community Church, the Caswell Masonic Lodge and was a US Army veteran.

A retired truck driver for Cobb Oil Co. he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Louise Murray Stanley, sister: Patricia S. Washburn, and a brother: James Early Stanley, Jr.

Survivors include his daughter: Sharon S. Moore (Kenneth Wayne) of Reidsville, and his son: Antionio “Andy” Stanley of Reidsville, his sister: Allene S. Merricks (Bobby) of Winston-Salem, grandchildren: Ashley Stanley Christopher Wayne Moore and Brad Austin Moore.
