Mrs. Tina Moyer Johnson, the beloved wife of Cleo Johnson, departed this life on Monday, October 30, 2023.
She was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and a resident of Guilford County for the majority of her life. Tina was a graduate of Rockingham County High School, Class of 1996 and received her undergraduate degree from Guilford College. She attained her master’s degree from Phiefer University and was presently employed as an adjustor for United Health Care. Being an avid sports enthusiast, she was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Lebron James. During her leisure, she enjoyed listening to gospel music and writing poetry.
Her grandparents, Wilma and Thomas Broadnax; aunts, Dorothy Martin and Mary J. Sanders; uncles, Harold Broadnax and Thomas Broadnax, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors are: a beloved and endearing husband, Cleo Johnson; children, Quay Cherry, Abrieele Cherry, Chase Johnson (Noel), Celina Johnson and Christian Johnson; grandchild, Jace Johnson; beloved parents, Betty J. Broadnax and Elvis Moyer; special auntie/mama, Norma J. Broadnax; paternal grandparents, George and Sallie Moyer; brothers, Shawn Moyer (Laquita) and Lamont Moyer; a host of aunts and uncles; sister-in-law, ArTicia Johnson; brother-in-law, Ray Johnson (Tammy); special friends, Benita, Tracy and Felica; other relatives and friends. Special appreciation is extended to the staff and doctors of the Moses Cone Health System.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023 from the Hilltop Church of Christ, 884 Way Street with Pastor Donnie Johnson presiding. The family visitation will be Sunday from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Saturday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
