Thomas Dale Greene, 53, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 5736 Inman Road, Greensboro. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held in the Eden United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Tommy was a loving husband to Wendi, a devoted father to Mckenzie, Sophia, & Belle, a proud papa to Luke and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his granddaughter in October. He was a caring brother, son, and friend. He enjoyed helping others, no matter the cost or time. He was a trusted business owner of Snatchers Garage and would do anything for anyone, especially when it came to a car issue. He loved having fun, entertaining, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a master griller and had a keen sense of humor. As said in Proverbs 17:17, Tommy truly was a friend that “loves at all times.”

Tommy was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. He served many years in the AWANA Cubbies program, exemplifying the love and servant’s heart of Christ to preschoolers. Tommy loved playing and watching sports over the years, so it was a joy of his to spend many seasons as an assistant coach of the high school girls’ basketball team at his church. Tommy’s love for others and his incredibly kind heart no doubt came from his personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8).
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Elvin Greene.

Survivors include his wife, Wendi Wilson Greene; daughters, Mckenzie Greene, Sophia Greene Wilkins (Zach) and Belle Greene; grandson, Luke Wilkins; mother, Ann Apple Greene; brother, Bobby Greene (Michele); sister, Miranda Boles (Jimmy) and several special extended family members and friends.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
