Thomas Barry “Tommy” Turner Jr., 64, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Yanceyville Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
A native of Danville, VA, he was a son of the late Thomas Barry Turner and the late Sarah Gayle Scearce Turner Harrell and he had lived in Pelham most of his life. Tommy was a member of New Heights Baptist Church and he started teaching Bible lessons by mail for inmates and it progressed into a Prison Ministry. He ministered at the Rockingham Co. Jail, the prison in Caswell Co. and the Danville City Jail. Tommy enjoyed riding his motorcycle and he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Tamara Turner, his sisters: Patty Reynolds and Tina Chilton and his step-father: Rev. Don Harrell.
Surviving is his wife: Christine Apple Turner of the home, his son: Thomas Barry Turner III (Jessica) of Danville, VA, his daughter: Faith Tucker of the home and his grandchildren: Marci Turner, Thomas Barry Turner IV, Marley Turner and Lilly Turner.
Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Turner family.
