Obituary: THOMAS AARON JONES

Thomas A. “Joe” Jones, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023.
Joe was born in Rockingham County, NC to the late Luther Thomas Jones and Thelma Wilson Jones. He was a NC certified tool and dye maker at Gilbarco for over 40 years. Joe was an avid Carolina basketball fan and lover of old cars. He enjoyed spending time with friends playing cards and at the beach.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Wayne and Donald Jones.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Jones; son, Steven Jones and wife, Deana; grandson, Thomas Jones; sister, Lorene Clayton (Bobby); brother, Marvin Jones (Debbie); sisters-in-law, Jo Payne and Wanda Jones; and a loving group of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Kevin Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church at 5222 NC Hwy 150 E, Brown Summit, NC 27214.
