Mrs. Thelma Priddy Rhodes, 94, passed away on Friday morning, August 19, 2022, at North Pointe of Mayodan.
A private family funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, at Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hassel Priddy officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Stokes County, Mrs. Rhodes was born on May 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Lester and Nina Throckmorton Priddy. She was retired from MacField and was a member of Soul’s Harbor Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Rhodes, Sr. in 1992.
Surviving are children Harold Rhodes and his wife, Linda, of Stoneville, Shirley White and her husband, Randy, of Mayodan, Dean Rhodes and May Nun of Calhoun, GA; sister Becky Joyce of Madison; brothers Boyd Priddy , Donald Priddy, Wayne Priddy, and Carlton Priddy; 4 grandchildren Lee Amos, Andrea Lanum, Megan McCollum, and Dylan Rhodes; 3 great grandchildren Cayden Lanum, Gage McCollum, and Ariel Amos.
