When God calleds for an Eagle, Terry Lynn Dalton responded to his call. One Sunday afternoon, October 23, 2022 with a smile on his face and without long suffering, Terry soared into his eternal life at Annie Pen Memorial Hospital, Reidsville, NC.
Terry was born June 19, 1969, to Calvin and Vernette Dalton in Eden, NC. He was their first born and only baby boy, which made him their pride and joy. He was truly a momma’s boy!
Terry known by most as “Frosty” was a “1987 Golden Eagle” graduate from Stoneville High School, Stoneville, NC. He loved all his classmates as well as teachers and did not hesitate to say or shown it. He played sports and loved every minute of it. He was large in size, but he was just a “big teddy bear” at heart.
Frosty also attended Chowan University, Murfreesboro, NC where he studied Sports Medicine. He later studied HVAC Air at Rockingham Coummunity College, Wentworth, NC.
Frosty was employed at Frontier Spinning in Madison, NC as Lead Person and was a unique co-worker. He was always easy to get along with and to work with. He was a distinctive Team Player, always willing to go the last mile to get the job done right.
Frosty loved sports and was an inspiration to so many young people. Coaching and pushing young people to go for their goal in football and basketball was the joy of his life. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to help them reach their goal. He had long talks, practiced with them, picked them up for games and even bought them shoes if they needed them.
Even though in his last days his health wasn’t as good is used to be, he still tried to attend all games to shown the young people he supported them. He was a Huge Dallas Cowboy and NC Tar Heel Fan. Frosty was a wonderful father not only to his kids but to his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other kids in the community.
Frosty gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized while serving under the leadership of Bishop W. B. Harbor at the Burning Bush Holiness Church in Stoneville, NC. He attended True Light Temple of Deliverance, under Pastor Roy Hall.
