Terry Francis Vaden, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Jacobs Creek Nursing and Rehab.
Terry was born in Stokes County on May 15, 1951, to Floyd and Margie Atkins Vaden. He was raised in Sandy Ridge and was a hard worker in textiles for most of his life. Terry was a devout Christian and attended both Ayersville Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Mayodan. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father and always helped others in need. Terry’s hobbies were working on clocks and lawnmowers. Ecclesiastes 12:7: Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Isaiah 43: Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.
In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Richardson Vaden; and his granddaughter, Saijel Williams.
Survivors include his mother, Margie Atkins Vaden; daughter, Samantha Williams (Ian), step-son, Kevin Wilson (Melinda); brothers, Kent Vaden and Steve Vaden; grandchildren, Layla Williams, Sydnie Williams, Shawn Wilson, Kimberly Wilson, Kristen Wilson, and Matthew Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Valerie, Rhylen, Colton, Charlie, and Riverlee.
