
Terry Dean Hundley, 66, left this earthly life, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, doing what he enjoyed, preparing the ground for his spring garden.
Born on January 15, 1957, in Rockingham County, Terry grew up in Rockingham and Stokes Counties. He was a 1975 graduate of North Stokes High School. He had attended Mayo Christian Church as a child with his parents, and later attended Sandy Ridge Christian Church until he started his own in-home ministry. Terry farmed and logged after graduating from High School. He was employed with Southern Finishing Company for 20 plus years as a supervisor and Industrial Air for 10 years, traveling from state to state with installation as a metal fabricator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford Lee Hundley and Katie Shelton Hundley; brothers, James Harold Hundley and Jerry Lee Hundley; niece Michelle Hundley Robertson; grandparents, Buford and Gracie Nance Shelton and Jesse Ben “Jess” and Dulcie Lee Bryant Hundley Robertson. Terry was also preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Gala Nicole Daniels Hundley; son, Ryan Dean Hundley; stepsons, Allen and Wayne Smothers; his beloved granddaughter, Savannah Rae Hundley and step- granddaughter, Hartleigh Dianne Mabe; brothers, Wayne Hundley and twin brother Perry Hundley. He is also survived by many several nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle, and many friends.
At Terry’s request there will be no formal service. A register book will be available for those who would like to come by to sign from 3 to 5 pm Sunday, March 25, 2023, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel.
