Obituary: TALMADGE “BUCK” CHESTER HALL

Talmadge Chester “Buck” “Buster” Hall, 88, of Reidsville passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 2pm at Cranberry Cemetery, 103 Belview Church Road in Laurel Springs, NC. There will be no formal visitation with friends, however Buck will lie-in-state at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 8am until 5pm.

Buck was born in Laurel Springs, NC on July, 14, 1934 a son of Bill Hall and Mary Shepherd Hall, both deceased. He worked most of his life as a dairy farmer. In addition to being an excellent dairy farmer, Buck loved hunting and fishing and was just as goal driven in his hobbies as he was in his work and family. His wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren truly adored him. Buck was the greatest fan and supporter of all his loved ones. He never missed a sports event that any of his kids, and grandkids participated in. Buck will truly be missed by his close knit family who will forever hold him close to their hearts.

Buck is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Charlotte Moore Hall of the home, his children, Kenny Hall and wife, Katy of Laurel Springs, Michael Hall of Raleigh, NC, Ricky Hall and wife Mary, of Laurel Springs, Daniel Hall and wife, Amber of Burlington, Marc Hall and wife, April of Pelham and Chris Hall and wife, Lisa of Reidsville; his brother, Gary Hall and wife, Brenda of Laurel Springs, NC; his 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Joe Hall and his siblings, Lucille Blevins, Myrtle Hall, Dorcas Wagoner, Lillie Mae Davis, Robert Hall, Clinton Hall and Billy Hall.

The family would like to thank all the nurses in department 300 of Annie Penn Memorial Hospital, UNC Rockingham Emergency Room nurses and Dr. Stetler and his staff for all the gracious care that was given to Buck during his time there.
