Steve Anthony Hazelwood, 70, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at his home.
A 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Fountain of Youth Ministries with Bishop William Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Knollhurst Cemetery with Air Force Military Honors. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon at the church.
Steve was born in Stokes County on July 27, 1952, to the late Ervin and Elma Shelton Hazelwood. He was a US Air Force veteran and was a member of Fountain of Youth Ministries. Steve was a hard worker and a “Jack of all trades”, being computer savvy and could pretty much fix anything. He was an avid musician, loved music, and played guitar for his church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kayron Jessup; and his brother, Danny Hazelwood.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Eileen Roets Hazelwood; his children, Andrew, Taylor, Bart, Steven, Kelley, Corey, and Blake; his brother, Clifton “Jackie” Hazelwood; his sister, Jane Byron; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
