Stephen Douglas Connor, 64, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Mr. Connor was born on April 17, 1960 in Covington, Kentucky to Charles Robert Connor and Patricia Fincher Connor. Stephen enjoyed playing golf and softball, as well as playing football during his time at the University of Richmond, prior to graduating from UNC Greensboro. He also enjoyed working out at the gym, as staying fit was important to him. For the majority of his adult working career, he was employed in the transportation industry. He adored his family and was extremely proud of the accomplishments of his children.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilmore and Mary Jane Hall.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Cydne Hall Connor; children, Martin Connor (Hannah), Nathan Connor and Merritt Connor; beloved grandson, Silas Connor; sister, Debbie Stern (Dr. Donald Stern); brothers, Richard Connor (Apollo) and Jeff Connor (Suehonor); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dana and Alan Hensley and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
