Obituary: SILAS DAVID LOWE

Mr. Silas David Lowe, 56, of Tahlequah, OK, formerly of Oak Ridge, NC died June 5, 2024.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Chapel Pentocostal Holiness Church, 633 NC Hwy. #150, Greensboro, NC with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow is the church cemetery.

Silas David Lowe was born May 4, 1968 to Armentus Lowe, Sr. and Nannie F. Lowe in Greensboro, North Carolina. He received his heavenly wings on June 5, 2024 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Silas was the 13th of 14 children. Silas participated and excelled in the Band Drum Core. He also received several awards of accomplishments in music, where he performed in various services and community activities. He was rewarded a trip to Germany for his outstanding gift of performance. Silas graduated from Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with an Associated Degree in Ministry. In Indiana, Silas participated in the Youth Music Ministry, where he performed in various services, activities and for visiting dignitaries. Silas worked at Home Depot in Tulsa and Indiana before becoming disabled in a house fire.

Silas had a strong faith in God and received Christ at an early age. Receiving God in his life was evidenced by his devotion, commitment and participation in service to God in the church, his family and community. His kind spirit and love of family will surely be missed.

Silas is survived by: his loving father; Armentus Lowe, Sr., brothers; Armentus Lowe, Jr., Lester (Denise) Lowe, Timothy, Thomas, Daryl and Dobias. Sisters; Bonita, Natalie, Eileen (Ken) McCandies, Elzena and Serena, along with a host of relatives, family and friends.
