Shirley Elaine Shelton Sutphin, 77, of Walnut Cove, passed away early Tuesday, July 30th,2024 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Shirley was born in Rockingham County on August 24,1946 to the late George and Mable White McBride. She was of the Baptist Faith. Shirley was a retired Care Giver for over 40 years. She was a loving Mother and cherished the time with her family always.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the Father of her children, Victor Shelton Sr., daughter, Susan Gail Coe, granddaughter Brittany Elaine Coe and great grandson Joshua Smith. Three Brothers, Sonny, Bob, and Bill McBride. Three sisters, JoAnn Carter, Bonnie Kendrick, and Elsie Morton.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Victor Shelton Jr. (Wanda) of Stoneville, Ronald Shelton (Lisa) of Westfield, Clayton Shelton of Walnut Cove, Rhonda Collins (Harold) of Lawsonville,and Jennifer Shelton of King. Eleven grandchildren: George Coe Jr., Angela Clinton, Crystal Sizemore, Derek Shelton (Toni), Lakin Shelton, Austin Shelton, Cassie Shelton, Major Collins, Nathen Collins, Clayton Shelton, and Zack Bowman. Twenty Five Great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, Connor and Caidyn Burke. One sister, Francis Atkins Hodge. Numerous nieces and nephews.
