Shannon Renee Wagoner departed this life on Tuesday evening, October 31, 2023.
As a native and resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina for the majority of her life, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School, Class of 1991. Being musically talented, she was a member of the marching band while in school, played the piano, flute and violin. She pursued further studies at Rockingham Community College and was formerly employed at Telvista of Danville, Virginia. Spiritually, she was a member of Bible Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Micky Alcorn. During her leisure, she enjoyed reading, watching horror movies, crocheting and loving on “Jake”, her fur baby.
Her step-father, Robert White; beloved spouse, Marty Southard; a host of aunts and uncles, preceded her in death.
Survivors are: beloved mother, Patsy Brown Wagoner; sister, Heather Wall (Roy); special niece/daughter, Addison Wall; nephew, Mason Wall (Destiny); great-niece, Ella Wall; special aunt, Lisa Newby Adkins (Bobby); devoted cousins, Jessica Clinton Breedlove and Tammy Bryd Pulliam; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 from the Greenview Cemetery, 1004 Montgomery Street with Pastor Micky Alcorn presiding. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at 260 Iron Works Road. Her remains are in the care of Johnson & Sons.
