Sandra Moore Apple, 83, slipped peacefully into heaven, at the home of her daughter, after a lengthy illness.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Edward and Frances Baynes Moore and had lived her entire life in Rockingham County. In her early, life she was surrounded by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sandra was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows on television. Most of all she loved being with her family especially her granddaughter Katie. She formerly worked at Pennsylvania National Insurance Company and later worked and retired as the secretary at Main Street United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Ronald Apple, an infant daughter and a sister: Linda Moore-Giers.
Survivors include her daughter: Lynn Noetzel and husband Gilbert of Summerfield, granddaughter: Katie Noetzel of Summerfield, sister: Betty Moore Wilson of Greensboro, brother: Cecil Edward “Eddie” Moore of Bassett, VA, and several loving nieces and nephews.
