Mr. Samuel Lamond Brooks, age 42, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025.

Public viewing will begin on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 1 p.m. from the McLaurin-Harris Memorial Chapel, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 12:30 p.m.

The committal and interment will follow in Greenveiw Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

All other times, the family will receive friends at 403 Ridge Street, Reidsville, NC.

“Sam” as he was affectionately called was born on June 20, 1982 in Eden, NC to parents Loretta Simson Langston and Samuel Jumper.

As a native of Rockingham County, NC he attended the local public schools.

He was a very friendly young man who loved his family and friends. Sam always met you with a smile and hug, that was so genuine and infectious, you just had to smile right back. He really had a way of bringing joy to your day.

Samuel was a member of In Truth Ministries, Inc. located in Eden, NC. He will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lottie Brock Bethel and Preston Clark.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Loretta Simpson Langston; father, Samuel Jumper; fiancé, Xavier Artis; sons, Dekeyvian Haith, Samonde Brooks, Za’Quan Brooks and Nazariah Brooks; daughter, Aliyah Brooks; grandchild, Dejour Haith; siblings, Reginald Brooks (Chevonne), Ronketta Willis (Darryl), Ronnie Lee Brooks (Mya), Lakisha Jumper, Michael Harris, Dante Hampton and Shenika Clark; grandparents, Polly Flippen and Sam Jumper Sr.; special nieces and nephews, Wykisa, Achanti, Daylin, Nysun, Chance, Jayce, Hayden, Kyle, Little Reggie, Mercedes, Kaleb, and Kamari; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; special friend, Adeilo Bridges.
