Obituary: SAMUEL ANDREW MIDDLETON

Samuel Andrew Middleton, 92, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Countryside Manor.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Jessup officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Middleton was born on September 1, 1931 in Rockingham County to the late Gustavus Adolphus Middleton and Mary Jane Lemons Middleton. He retired from Newman Machine Company after forty-two years of service and was a talented and meticulous gardener.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Pope Middleton; brothers, Dennis, Obie, Hutton, Paul and G.A. Middleton, Jr. and sisters, Hilda Foulks, Hazel Foulks, Mamie Isley, Ellen Middleton, Lucy Rierson, Leona Taylor and infant sister, Naomi Middleton.
Survivors include his sons, Tim Middleton and wife, Rhonda and Mark Middleton and wife, Rosalynne; grandchildren, Brian Middleton and wife, Katelin, Adam Middleton and wife, Jenny, Greg Middleton and wife, Valerie, Erin French and Avery Middleton; great-grandchildren, Payton, Ayden, Grayson, Parker, Sam, Grant, Finn and Pierce Middleton and Levi and Will French and many extended family members.
The family wishes to thank Rhonda Koger for the wonderful and attentive care she provided.
