Ruby Ore Ziglar, 89, died on Sunday, July 30, 2023.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Vaughn and Pastor Roy Bullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison.
Mrs. Ziglar was born on May 22, 1934 in Stokes County to the late Capus Stanley Ore and Mattie Mae Bullins Ore. She worked diligently keeping a clean house and enjoyed her late husband’s hobby of racing. Ruby also enjoyed Fuzzy’s and spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Ziglar; son, Kenneth “Kenny” Ziglar and siblings, Otis Ore (Mary), Robert Ore (Dot), Louise Griffin, Mary Ruth Lawson (C.L.) and Bobby Gene Ore.
Survivors include her granddaughters, Sherri Ziglar and Stacy Williams (Wayne); great-grandchildren, Logan Smith, Kyann Joyce, Sydney Williams and Mackenzie Williams; sister, Linda Ore Littlejohn and many special extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice.
Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
